Pressing the Delta Traffic button will display an overlay showing a pictorial view of the Delta Pattern and the procedures for traffic conflicts at an airfield. The overlay is not to scale.
The overlay will be specific for a selected runway. When the Delta Traffic button is active, a new runway cannot be selected via the runway selector. Pressing the Delta Traffic button a second time will toggle out of the Delta Traffic mode and allow users to select a new runway. |
Pressing the Delta Runway Change button will display an overlay showing a pictorial view of the Delta Pattern and the procedures for a runway change at an airfield. The overlay is not to scale.
The initial overlay will display the circular pattern around the airport and the general guidance for entering the delta from the normal pattern. The overlay will be specific for a selected runway. Additionally, the user will then be required to select the new runway on the runway selector. Pressing the Delta Runway Change button at this point will toggle out of the Delta Runway Change mode and return to the basic airfield diagram. |
Once the Delta Runway Change button has been pressed, the user will be prompted to select the new runway in use. Upon the selection being made, the overlay graphic will display the correct procedure for exiting the delta and returning to the downwind for the new runway.
Upon exiting the delta, the user can press the Delta Runway Change button again to exit the Delta Runway Change mode. |
