When you are ready, check your knowledge, comprehension and retention through basic testing. Designed to challenge you, this section is also easy to navigate and provides instant feedback to remediate your errors during the test. Navigate from question to question by simple swipe motions. You can also make larger jumps between questions and see your progress via an easily accessible question map. Upon completion of the test, results are provided and your testing average for each section is listed on the home page.

Procedure Modules
When you are ready to learn the various instrument procedures, the home page will direct you to this simple, yet intuitive graphic. Select any one of the 8 basic procedures to initiate your in-depth learning in that area.
The first stop on your journey will be a sub-page where you can learn the amplified steps of each procedure. An animated graphic will help to provide an overall pictorial concept of the procedures as they play out in real-time. This coupling serves to enhance your situational awareness as you study the individual steps of the procedure. Before you proceed to the RIOT area to practice the procedure, you must choose your method of learning. This application is made to accommodate varying levels of skill through several lesson methodology.

RIOT Screen
This is where the magic happens! Designed with the user interface in mind, the main application screen of the RIOT is oriented around the graphical display of the procedure/task being accomplished. The main RIOT screen also contains both a script area for lesson information and feedback and an aircraft control area from which you can direct the aircraft through the procedures. Numerous settings can be toggled on or off to the users preference with only a couple clicks.
A simplified HSI area for instrument awareness is also provided off to the side of the main area. Seeing the overview of the aircraft in addition to the HSI representation works to build overall comprehension and situational awareness of what is happening around you by comparing the gods-eye view to the instrument view. Once you've learned and comprehend the given procedure, you may chose to challenge yourself by practicing from only the aircraft's instrumentation. This application integrates a fully functional T-6B UFCP and PFD which can be quickly accessed from the RIOT screen. Completing the procedures through these re-created avionics will give you the confidence to complete the procedures in the aircraft! |
