Departures
The departure page shows all the departures contained in the FWOP to the various training areas. This page is all-encompassing and includes VFR departures as well as departures to SUA (NMOA/SMOA).
The user can select the runway and working area on the left side of the screen. Upon making a selection, the appropriate diagram of the departure, as well as a frequency box, will appear in the upper-right portion of the screen. The lower, text portion of the screen will provide specifics on the procedures as they are listed in the FWOP. The text area can be scrolled, by swiping up or down, if all the text does not fit on the screen. Header Bar - Present on every page. Contains the Menu icons on the left, page title in the center, and Comm/Checklist icons on the right. Next-Page/Previous-Page Arrows - Used to advance or return between pages. Different selections by the user will change the follow-on page (NMOA, SMOA, Brewton, Jay, etc.). Runway Selection - Allows for selection of the departure runway. This will automatically be set if a runway was selected on the homepage. Area Selection - Allows for selection of the working area. This will automatically be set if a working area was selected on the homepage. Changing the working area will also change the accompanying diagram, frequency box, and procedural text. Generic Departure Information - Provides a popover with general departure procedure information contained in the FWOP that applies to all departures. An example of the content is shown in a section below. Specific Departure Information - Text of the FWOP procedure for the selected departure. This includes immediate course rules after takeoff and routing/altitude requirements during the selected departure. Termination points, if applicable, are also included. |
